Qur’anic Bibliotherapy Intervention in Pregnant Women Experiencing Anxiety During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia: A Qualitative Exploratory Study

BACKGROUND: The disease caused by coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) has been stated as a global epidemic the WHO. COVID-19 pandemic adds many risk factors to maternal mental health during perinatal period. impact of anxiety pregnancy is adverse obstetric consequences such premature birth, inadequate antenatal care, requests for elective cesarean delivery, low APGAR scores infants, and postpartum depression. Nursing interventions overcome can be done through spiritual religious intervention approaches. One Muslim population improve coping Qur’anic Bibliotherapy (QB) Islamic bibliotherapy. AIM: This study aimed explore use QB pregnant women experiencing pandemic. METHODS: A qualitative exploratory was conducted experience given informant. samples were ten respondents with moderate-to-severe levels. instrument used Zung Anxiety Scale. RESULTS: themes obtained from in-depth interviews semi-structured recognizing its perceived impact, impetus changing resilience pandemic, parents’ role, benefits in CONCLUSIONS: encourages informants’ positive thinking, feeling, spiritual, attitude patterns. complementary workers, especially nurses, providing nursing care patients.
